Common questions

Do I need a membership to race?+

To earn ranking points and enter sanctioned events you need a Competitor license. App challenges are open to every member, including Supporters.

What is the Foil Racing Club for?+

Starting and running a local club. You set up informal, app-scored time challenges in your area, pier to pier or a lap of the lake, and we help you build the routes and leaderboards. No sanctioning, buoys, or sponsors. Riders take on your challenges as Supporters or Competitors.

How do rankings work?+

Every sanctioned race feeds one national ranking. Register as a Competitor and your results count toward qualifying for the National Series.

Is there a junior rate?+

Yes. Under 18 races at a discounted Competitor rate, with Safe Sport protections.

Can I move up later?+

Yes. Start as a Supporter and upgrade whenever you are ready.
