FOIL RACING Supporter — common questions

What do I get with a free Supporter membership?

An FRL member number, partner discounts on gear / lessons / rentals, access to club challenges via the Ride app, and early access to event tickets before they go on public sale.

Is it really free?

Yes — no cost. No credit card required. Just sign up and your member number is ready immediately.

Can I upgrade to Competitor later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade anytime. If you upgrade before the 2027 tour starts, you lock in the founding rate for life.

Do I need the FRL app?

Yes — the app is how you join club challenges, track progress, and access partner discount codes. It's free to download.

What partner discounts are available?

Discounts on foil gear, lessons, and rentals from FRL partner shops and brands. Details are updated seasonally inside the app.

Can I race with a Supporter membership?

You can participate in casual club challenges. Sanctioned racing, national rankings, and event insurance require a Competitor membership.

What's the difference between Supporter and Competitor?

Supporter is free and covers social riding, discounts, and club challenges. Competitor adds sanctioned race eligibility, national ranking points, racing accident insurance, and certified instructor listing.

Can I join multiple clubs?

Yes. As a Supporter you can post times and participate in challenges at any FRL club worldwide.

Does my member number expire?

No — your Supporter membership and member number stay active as long as FRL exists.
