About

A path for every rider, from first flight to the podium.

Foil Racing League is the premier national league for American flatwater foiling, spanning pump foil and eFoil. We pair world-class racing with grassroots growth — sanctioning races nationwide, equipping clubs to bring more people on the water, and running an eight-stop national season leading to the National Championship. Headquartered in Miami.

What we do

Rules and classes

Published rulebook covering every discipline and class.

Safety

A national safety standard at every sanctioned event.

Sanctioning and insurance

Liability coverage and a clear framework for organizers.

Rankings

One national board for every rider, every class.

Credentialing

Certification for officials, race directors, and coaches.

Competitor development

Pathways from grassroots to the national series.

Mission

Make foiling accessible, visible, and built for everyone on the water.

Foiling is one of the fastest-growing things happening on the water. FRL is building the structure the sport has been missing — a real season, a real ladder, and a stage worthy of the athletes. We give every rider a way in, whether they want to fly on a Saturday morning at their local club or chase a national ranking.

Vision

World-class racing and grassroots growth, together.

The 2027 season runs eight national events from February through October, culminating in the National Championship at Miami Marine Stadium. Alongside the tour, our club program and sanctioned local races give riders in every region a way into the sport — pump foil or eFoil, first flight or final podium.

Governance

A board, a staff, and published policies.

FRL is governed by a board of directors and operates to a set of published policies covering safety, conduct, athlete protection, and event sanctioning.

The League and the series

FRL is one organization with two roles: the governing body that sanctions and standardizes foil racing, and the operator of the national series and championships.

Founders

Founder-led. Competitor-credible. Built for the long haul.
